4 Steps To Put You In Action Mode

Before we start, let me ask you a question.

Four birds are sitting on a tree branch. They decide to fly away. How many birds are left? Did you answer two?

The right answer is still four. It is because there’s a significant difference between deciding and actually doing something. Do you also want to know how you can turn yourself into a doer? If your answer is yes, the following are the steps to put you in action mode.

  1. Be Quick

Yeah, that’s right that sometimes you have to keep going slow and do not rush. But, here, the word sometimes is noticeable. There are other times as well when you lose an opportunity just because you didn’t want to rush it. So, when you want something to happen, go for it. Your self-doubting characteristic will drown you one day.

For instance, you might be thinking of writing an article on the current conditions of the country. But you’re just postponing it now for the right time. Or for the day when you’ll have enough motivation to write. There are chances that you’re going to lose the opportunity because the situations change every day, and you’ll not be able to write about today, tomorrow.

Yikes! Worst decision, right?

Therefore, it’s better to not wait for some right time. Just get up and do it.

  1. Do Not Overthink

Your overthinking is killing the vibe. When you think of doing something and then start analyzing conditions far away from reality, you’ll lose that sudden boost of action. In this world, full of procrastination, if by luck, you’re getting some motivation to act. Do not lose it overthinking. Get up and do it.

For instance, if you’re thinking of getting in shape, act over it. Stop thinking from scratch that you’ll join the gym, buy healthy groceries and stuff. Just get up and exercise. Simple!

  1. Pull Yourself Out Of Procrastinations

Remember the days when you got up and thought of taking some online courses to improve your skills. Where are those days gone? Have you made use of that motivational boost? Nah!

Yeah, well, that’s because you woke up, used your phone to join some online course. But then lost in your social media accounts. Or maybe start checking for sales on different brands. If you want to do something or become a doer, pull yourself out of all the procrastination.

Even those friends of yours that distract you from your goal get away from them. For instance, if you’re supposed to go to the gym by 7:00, and a friend wants you to visit him at that time, simply apologize to him. Never sacrifice your goals over procrastinations.

  1. Consistency Is The Key

Whatever you do, you’re supposed to do it every single day. Similarly, if you want to be a doer, you need to continually act on the action plan. Never skip a day. Or else, you’ll break your loop of consistency.
